The Small Business Hive has been co-founded by Sarah and Laura. Two local mums and owners of small businesses who both wanted a space to connect, talk about the challenges of self-employed work over a coffee - and realised it was a wider, collective need.

From meet-ups, virtual co-working mornings, to hive member events and more, Sarah and Laura are changing the face of networking and facilitating a new space with opportunities for small businesses to connect, share and support each other.

Meet the founders

Sarah Sole, runs two businesses @sourced.studio and @icklepicklepreloved and is a mum to three children. Sarah is passionate about sustainable fashion and has a keen eye for high-end homeware, clothing and accessories.

Laura Edralin, runs @lauraletterslife and is a mum to two boys. Laura is passionate about creativity and mental health, delivering calligraphy workshops and courses to boost people’s wellbeing.

How to Join the Hive

We keep things simple.

  1. Book a free Hive Meet-Up in Chiswick, London. If there’s no dates listed, there’ll be more coming (stay tuned)!

  2. Join the Hive community group on WhatsApp - you’ll receive the link when you book, or you can DM us on Instagram or email us for it.

  3. Follow and connect with us on Instagram - we’ll share Hive Meet-up dates, Hive member events / posts (tag us!) and anything else useful and motivational for us small business owners here.

    Hive Meet-Ups are the ideal place to share current challenges and recent successes. It’s like having a team at your finger-tips to problem solve, support and help you move forward when you’re feeling stuck.

    And perhaps, more importantly it’s a place to share your successes with people who know exactly how it feels to make a sale on your latest range, to book your dream client, or to sell a ticket to your latest workshop.

    But having a pool of small independent business owners on your phone to ask for recommendations, skill-swaps and collaborations puts that joy RIGHT BACK IN.
